It’s Friday afternoon. How are you rolling into the weekend?
I do two very different jobs: I work in HR at SNCF Connect & Tech, and I’m also a self-employed content creator under my brand, Anna Nguyenthuy. These two roles complement each other beautifully: recruiting lets me thrive in a structured, professional environment, while being an influencer gives me creative and organizational freedom.
On Fridays, I wrap up my day in Saint Denis, usually after a series of interviews. Once I close my laptop, I love heading into the city to unwind. My ideal end to the day? A walk along the Seine, an ice cream in the Saint-Michel area, or a workout session to decompress. Sometimes I meet up with girlfriends for dinner.
Any restaurant plans today, tonight, this weekend?
The weekend is my time: no workouts, no obligations. On Saturdays, I enjoy going out to dinner, and on Sundays, I like to cook a great meal for my loved ones. When it comes to restaurants, I balance my favorite classics with new discoveries. I love fine dining spots like Le Meurice Alain Ducasse or La Scène Thélème, but also charming places around Saint-Michel, near Notre-Dame, or along the Seine. One of my favorite spots is Café Marly, right across from the Louvre — it’s chic, central, and perfect for catching up with friends with a view of the museum’s arcades.
How about a little leisure or culture?
I’m very attached to the Parisian art of living. On Saturday afternoons, I enjoy strolling through Le Marais, stopping by a gallery, or grabbing a drink with a view of the Pont Alexandre III. During Fashion Weeks, I’m lucky to be styled by professionals who create looks that reflect my world — elegant, chic, and subtly sensual. It’s a moment where I fully express myself through fashion. On a daily basis, I love discovering new boutiques, especially Tara Jarmon, for refined and feminine pieces. Paris gives me the constant desire to reinvent myself.
Any weekend getaways?
As soon as I can, I take the car and escape the city. Fontainebleau, with its forests, villages, and château, is a timeless favorite. I also enjoy wellness escapes: a weekend of spa and gastronomy at a beautiful countryside hotel, like the Château de Courban, is always a good idea to disconnect.
What was your last great vacation?
I recently returned to Vietnam to visit my family. It was intense, warm, and full of flavor — Vietnamese street food is simply unmatched. What I love about Paris, though, is that I can extend those travel vibes through food. A good phở in Paris 13è or an exotic dessert on Rue Sainte-Anne brings me right back.
What was your last major purchase that you’re really happy with?
I just treated myself to a new bag from Dior: elegant, timeless, and perfect for either a business meeting or a chic night out in Paris.
What store or service do you always recommend?
I’m loyal to Pierre Hermé for chocolate (his Ispahan is a work of art), Yves Saint Laurent Beauty for my makeup, and Lancôme for skincare. I love brands that combine excellence with a sensorial experience.
